Living Well Beyond HIV
Living Well Beyond HIV
This is our flagship training. We go beyond the basic facts of HIV transmission and move toward true resilience. We’ll discuss the drivers of the epidemic in our communities, what science says about viral suppression, and the newest prevention strategies available to our brothers and sisters. We’ll also explore how language perpetuates stigma and discrimination against PLHIV and other marginalized communities. Finally, we’ll invest some time to build your emotional intelligence and support your overall wellness.
Younity Workshop
Younity Workshop
This day-long interactive workshop, facilitated by and for PLHIV, allows you to explore real-life stigma narratives and experiences. We’ll engage in discussion and exercises to develop and strengthen coping skills such as practicing relaxation and self-care. We’ll also use a series of videos to show potentially stigmatizing situations that involve family, friends, and co-workers. We’ll then role play ways to navigate these situations effectively.
