SAC Membership BENEFITS

Guide SAC’s Policy Strategy

Members can request to join the SAC Public Policy Committee, a diverse group that works with SAC’s Board and staff to develop policy priorities and guide an advocacy strategy for the South.

Magnify Your Voice

Engage in direct federal, state, and local advocacy in partnership with southerners living with HIV and the organizations that serve them. We carry your stories from the front line to a variety of forums.

Support Advocacy Efforts

We provide technical assistance, training, and ongoing administrative support to a network of state-based advocacy groups across the South to improve the lives of those living with and impacted by HIV.

Stay Informed

We notify you of grants and other funding opportunities available to the South, as well as invitation-only virtual programs with subject-matter experts to explore advocacy approaches.

Expand Your Reach

We communicate with individuals across the South through our website, newsletter, and social media to share information about your organization, including employment opportunities and events.

Network with Colleagues

More than ever, we have to work together to coordinate efforts and maximize scarce resources in new and unprecedented ways.

Show Your Support

We acknowledge your support on our website and on social media, and provide window decals so you can show that you are a member of SAC. You’ll also receive notifications of all sponsorship and exhibition opportunities.

Build Leadership Skills

The leadership of PLHIV and our allies are now more important than ever, especially in the South, where widening HIV-related health disparities and inequities threaten the lives of our people and impede real progress toward ending the epidemic. Here at SAC, we are committed to building that next generation of effective and resilient leaders. That’s why we developed a series of trainings by and for southerners living with HIV.
