ATLANTA – [August 6, 2025] – Southern AIDS Coalition (SAC) Board of Directors announces the appointment of Tiffani Brown as Interim Executive Director, effective immediately. Ms. Brown brings deep expertise in nonprofit management, organizational strategy, and equity-focused leadership through her work with Monroe Impact Advisors, a consulting firm specializing in organizational transformation and social impact.

Ms. Brown will work closely with Deputy Director Mardrequs Harris and SAC’s dedicated staff to ensure continued progress on the organization’s mission to end the HIV epidemic in the South. Her leadership will support the team as they execute key initiatives such as Saving Ourselves Symposium (SOS), Southern HIV/AIDS Awareness Day (SHAAD), and other impactful programs that empower Southern communities.

The Board extends its gratitude to outgoing Executive Director Dafina Ward for her unwavering commitment to SAC and the HIV movement in the South. Ms. Ward will continue in an advisory capacity through the end of August to ensure a smooth transition.

In the coming months, SAC will launch a national search for its next permanent Executive Director.

For inquiries related to SAC’s administration and operations, please get in touch with Tiffani Brown at ti*****@*******************on.org. For programmatic questions, please continue reaching out to Deputy Director Mardrequs Harris at ma*******@*******************on.org

Thank you to our partners and community for your continued support during this time of transition. We look forward to continuing SAC’s legacy in service to the South.
